Project Description

Arkhadaya, in collaboration with PT TotalEnergies Eneos Renewables Indonesia Projects, has successfully completed the installation of a 505 kWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at a tobacco manufacturing facility located in Sidoarjo, East Java.

The system comprises a total of 879 solar modules and was officially handed over (Provisional Acceptance/BAST) on May 7, 2024. This installation was strategically engineered to support the facility’s operational energy demand through efficient and sustainable solar energy utilization.

From a performance standpoint, the rooftop PV system is projected to generate approximately 700.44 MWh of clean energy annually. In parallel, it contributes to a reduction of around 546 tons of CO₂ emissions per year—equivalent to the annual carbon sequestration capacity of approximately 25,061 mature trees. These projections are aligned with established energy yield modeling practices and carbon offset conversion benchmarks commonly applied in renewable energy assessments.

The adoption of rooftop solar technology in the tobacco industry reflects a data-driven transition toward energy efficiency and decarbonization. It not only reduces dependency on conventional grid electricity but also strengthens the company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments in response to evolving sustainability standards.

As a trusted EPC partner, Arkhadaya remains committed to delivering reliable, high-performance, and scalable solar energy solutions that address the growing demand for sustainable industrial operations across Indonesia.
